Time is flying by! We are already at our halfway mark!!
Since we found out the sex of the baby, we’ve started to brainstorm ideas for baby names and let me tell you, it is so hard!! You don’t realize how many people you “dislike” until you start choosing your kid’s name. For now, we have a very short list but we’re not set on anything or at least I don’t want to be yet… it feels too soon to decide.
Here’s what has happened at 21 weeks:
WEEK 21 BUMPDATE
Baby is the size of a pint of beer! *cheers*
- ANY MOVEMENT?
I think so? Occasionally I feel something very light but I can’t pinpoint if that’s the baby kicking or just gas 😀
At our last doc’s appointment, my OB mentioned I should be feeling the baby kicks within the next couple of weeks, so I am just over here impatiently waiting for it to happen!! - BUMP?
Belly has officially popped! (although it is small) I think now I’m at the awkward stage where people are trying to figure out if I’m pregnant or if I ate too many burritos the night before. - CRAVINGS?
Nothing specific. I’m just glad to have my appetite back! However, I am getting fuller faster. - AVERSIONS?
Thankfully chocolate and coffee are back in the game. I haven’t had any specific aversions, but I am staying clear of spicy foods because it’s just not worth it with the heartburn. - PHYSICAL CHANGES?
Belly has been itching A LOT lately (I guess that means baby is growing!!) - SYMPTOMS?
- Bathroom trips are more often. I wake up 2-3 times at night to pee, which makes my sleep restless.
- A couple of weeks ago, I noticed my arm pits are darker!! like WTF? (Anyone else?) I am hoping this is a temporary pregnancy thing.
- Sciatica pain THANKFULLY stopped at week 18.. YAY! It was also all of a sudden. I woke up one morning and the pain was mild and then a couple days later, no more pain. However, lower back pain is still there but I’ll take that over sciatica.
- My emotions are all over the place. One moment I can be laughing my ass off, and the next second I am crying about the most mundane thing. For instance, Pablo and I were watching Gran Torino the other day and even though I’ve seen the movie a couple times, I couldn’t stop crying towards the end!! (And of course Pablo couldn’t stop laughing about it)
- EXERCISE?
I’m still doing my usual Street Parking workouts, however this week I noticed that burpees are starting to feel funny so I am modifying them.
Also, Pablo, Luna, and I started to do a 2 mile loop around the park. We started doing a run, but had to switch it to just morning walks because the pressure running puts on my bladder is just too much.
Which brings me to my next point… I officially can’t go more than 15 minutes without taking a bathroom break while I’m working out. I have at least 2-3 trips to the bathroom. - WHAT AM I MISSING THE MOST?
WINE! I can’t wait until I can have my glass (or bottle). - WEIGHT GAIN?
10 pounds and counting! - MATERNITY CLOTHES/PRODUCTS?
- From the 2 maternity leggings I got I LOVE the Blanqui ones. Yes, they are a bit pricier at $64, but let me tell you: you get what you pay for. The cheap ones from Amazon did not work out. I’ve only worn them for 2 weeks and they are so stretched out.
