Dear Peanut – at 8 months you sit up perfectly and can crawl your way around the house. You are not the best sleeper but you are the best eater. You are drooling like crazy and put everything and anything in your mouth, yet no teeth are in sight. Dad can get the best giggles out of you, Mama is your “off switch” if you’re fussy, and Luna just loves to give you wet kisses.

EIGHT MONTHS
SLEEP
You are a great napper. You nap 3-4 times a day and they can be as quick as 40 minutes or as long as two hours. However once nighttime comes, that’s different story. You sleep peacefully when you are in bed with us or in our arms, but as soon as we put you in your crib you wake up crying unconsolably. We’ve debated sleep training you again, but you are a non stop crier. You literally WON’T STOP!! We brought your crib to our room and we are trying a different approach… we are hoping it works.
EAT
Update: Two months of baby led weaning and you are still a messy eater!
But even when most of the food ends up on the floor and every meal is a complete mess, it is all worth it! The face you make when you are figuring out what you like and dislike is priceless.
Your favorites at 8 months?
Avocado, black beans, cinnamon apples, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.
Not a fan of quinoa and bananas.

MILESTONES
“DADA!”
A few days after turning 7 months (on March 15th to be exact), you started to babble, saying lots of “dadada” nonstop. You don’t quite know what it means yet so I refuse to count it as a first word… Sorry Dad 🙂
CRAWLING
You are on the move, buddy! You started the month barely crawling, and now we are ending it by crawling all over the place. You’ve also started to pull yourself up but haven’t quite figured it out yet.
THINGS YOU LOVE
to clap!
You are a quick learner! It only took you a few weeks to get the hang on it and now its all you do, especially when you are excited about something or when we sing you “if you are happy and you know it.”
bath time
You enjoy bath time more now that you can sit up. You find water so fascinating! 🙂
feeding luna
I turn around for a second and you are sneaking your little arm out to feed Luna. You find it so entertaining and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t ♥ I love watching you guys interact and I can’t wait until you are a little older so you can play together. You are already inseparable.
QUARANTINE MONTH
We’ve somehow managed to survive this last month of quarantine and working from home. I’d be lying if I said it was not challenging but between conference calls, naps, and feedings…. we are getting a hang on of this new routine. It doesn’t look like we are going anywhere soon, so we are just taking it day by day and enjoying the extra time with you.
I love you buddy but you are one loud coworker. Always looking for attention 🙂
